FD : Departed : 2011

The whole group at the EYS - beer supplied by SU!
The first FD - the first colourful group (Orange as it happens) lets name them starting from the left!!

We start with Matt Page who has just realised the delights the University of Salford Allerton Studios studying Motion Graphics with Gary Peploe. Then we have the 'Editor' looking worse for wear after another difficult year. Matt CC comes next on his way to his first furnishing million, Swaddy, Andy Needham, star illustrator, Michelle Deakin, star pupil and future D&AD winner. Emma Szostok and Jordan Coombs both over at Salford too studying Graphic Illustration with Robert Shadbolt. Emma Prescott who was heading Salford's way but didn't quite get there, shame. Bobbing his head over the top is the real 'lad' of the course and no mean vector artist Simon Fairhurst whose catch phrase was "that's what she said" we'll let you decide what she actually said - but no prizes!!! Next along Darryl Monks who even before the course had reached it's conclusion was working full time with JD Sports in Bury designing webpages simply because he followed the 'Editors' suggestion (As well as being very talented) and applied for vacancies and purchasing Apple products by the tonne. Zarar Kahliq never knowingly in on time and has decided not to study advertising at Salford and finally Nathan Greenough-Bowdler, again heading for advertising at Salford but has had a change of mind.

The final show was celebrated with what was possibly the best show graphics have had in the 'Editors' time.

Images of FDOrange
As this was the first group to pass through Foundation Degree, Dearly Departing is dedicated to them. Pictures from their time in 201 and the EYS . . .
Follow the employment status of the group on these pages. Swaddy, Michelle, Simon, Andy have all had interviews for the business - Daz is making 'stunning' progress to his JD Sports career. Matt and Swaddy have undertaken work for Heckford Advertising and their Pagemark company is 'snowed' with freelance work form a client who contacted the Foundation Degree course for able and willing graduates. Three other ex-students have also come back to FD looking to employ this years graduates and currently one of them is talking to Pagemark.
